Is the Thursday dating app still available in the UK? Not in its original form. As read on 11 September 2026, the Thursday matching app’s iOS and Android listings both return 404 in the UK storefronts, and its developer, Honeypot Dating LTD, offers one app in the GB App Store: Thursday Events, updated on 7 September 2026.
VIDA Select’s review, stamped as updated on the day we read it, still says the app has been unavailable since January 2025 and, in the sections we could read, never mentions the events app or the company.

Is the Thursday dating app still available in the UK? What the stores show
The App Store id indexers attach to the original matching app returns 404 in the GB storefront, and the Android package name returns Google’s one-line not-found page for a GB request. Those are scoped findings: the listings are not served to a UK reader as of 11 September 2026. They do not say when the apps were pulled, and we found no page that does.
What is served is Thursday Events, listed under the same developer with a description promising city-specific event listings, ticketing and updates. Its version history is not the trail of a dead product: 6.0.1 on 14 August, 6.0.2 on 28 August (a security patch, per the notes) and 6.0.3 on 7 September 2026, four days before this desk read the page.
What happened to the Thursday dating app?
The clearest account of the split sits in the reviews on the events listing. One user, writing on 3 October 2024 and asking why two apps were needed, complains that the second app made the original pointless, that people used the old one to see who was around nearby, and that the map and ticket-sold counts had gone. It is one person’s two-star view, and the only dated explanation we found of the change. VIDA Select’s January 2025 date fits that timeline, though as read here it gives no source for it.
Who owns Thursday, and is the company still filing?
Honeypot Dating LTD, company number 11560147, was incorporated on 10 September 2018 and its registered office is in North Leigh, Oxfordshire, not London. Companies House shows the status as Active, total-exemption accounts to 30 September 2025, and a confirmation statement made on 11 April 2026. The filing history there names Matthew Robin Cox Mcneill Love as a director, whom VIDA Select names as a co-founder alongside George Rawlings.
Active is a filing status, not a trading figure; accounts of this kind carry no turnover line we could read.
Does Thursday work outside London?
This is the question this desk cares about and the one nobody can answer from outside. The events listing names no UK city. Thursday’s own site returned a 200 to a plain fetch in this run with no readable text, so we assert no city list from it. The only list on record is VIDA Select’s, dated late 2023 and printed on a page that also says the app no longer exists: for the UK, Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Nottingham.
Three of the four dated user reviews we found on the events listing name London: a Saturday run club out of a venue called Urban Oasis, another run club days later, and a night of ice-breakers in March 2025; a fourth, from 3 October 2024, complains about the two-app split but names no city. That is the pattern we found with Breeze’s thirteen-city expansion, and the arithmetic in our piece on regional density bites harder on a model that needs a room and a host as well as a pool.
Pros and cons
Verdict
Our reading is that Thursday has become an events promoter with an app, not a dating app with events. The stores and the company register agree on that; VIDA Select’s page, the one incumbent we read, does not; its city list is late 2023 and its shutdown note January 2025. Whether that promoter reaches Leeds or Cardiff in 2026 is unproven, as it is for Hinge on density outside London.
Questions readers ask
Is the Thursday dating app still going?
The original swipe-and-match app is not, as far as the UK storefronts show: on 11 September 2026 its old iOS listing and its Android package both returned 404 for Great Britain. What is still going is Thursday Events, a separate ticketing app from the same developer, which shipped version 6.0.3 on 7 September 2026.
Which UK cities does Thursday operate in?
No current list could be read. The only one on record is VIDA Select’s, dated late 2023: Bath, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Brighton, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Nottingham. The Thursday Events listing names no UK city and thursday.com sent no readable text to a plain fetch, so treat that list as historical.
How much does a Thursday event cost in the UK?
No price in pounds was read anywhere in this run. VIDA Select, a US-facing page, puts tickets at 15 to 25 US dollars depending on the venue and VIP membership at 19.99 dollars a month, and says that about an app it also calls no longer available. Check the Thursday Events app itself before assuming a UK ticket price.
Nothing above describes how Thursday checks who walks into its rooms, because the app’s own safety pages were not read for this piece and a store blurb is not a source. As with everything covered here, this is an adults-only service and the age floor is 18.
